Pekan Raya Jakarta (Jakarta Fair), Kemayoran 2009

Jakarta, as the Capital City of Indonesia, have a special event that held once in a year called Pekan Raya Jakarta [Jakarta Fair].

Jakarta Fair is the parameter for Jakarta`s government and industrial entrepreneurs to measure the national products competitiveness ability and the society purchase power, especially Jakarta`s society. Therefore, we hope that through Jakarta Fair there will be improvement efforts by economic agents especially on the subject of national products competitiveness enhancement.

Celebrating the 482nd Jakarta`s anniversary in 2009, PT Jakarta International Expo together with the Government of Jakarta will held the 42nd Pekan Raya Jakarta or Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2009 again from June 11th until July 12th, 2009, in Arena Pekan Raya Jakarta, Kemayoran. This 42th exhibition’s theme is "Keep Going Jakarta Fair: With the Spirit of the Jakarta Fair, Let’s Help Build Prosperous Economy".

Jakarta Fair is always opened coincidently with school holiday in order to attract the visitors up to millions of people. They come not only from Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi, but also all over Indonesia and overseas.

Tabot Festival, City of Bengkulu

Tabot Festival is the first program to start Visit Indonesia Year 2008, it will be held on January 9-19 2008 (Muharram 1-10 in moslem calendar) in City of Bengkulu.

The main events in this program are ritual activity such as praying by Tabot Imam and Tabot Bangsal continued with the event in Gerga Nala and Gerga Benteng, "Upacara Duduk Penja" & "Pencucian Jari-jari", "Upacara Menjuru", "Malam Arak Jari-jari", "Upacara Arak Sorban", "Hari GAM", "Tabot naik pangkek", "Arak Gedang", "Tabot Bersanding" and it will be ended by the Tabot Tebuang parade to Padang Karbala for the Tabot hand over at Syech Burhanudin Syabedan Abdullah tomb.

And also there will be culture performances, traditional games, carnaval, exhibition, bazaar and Mr & Ms Tabot election.
